Adriana Silva, LCSW
Adriana is a skilled, licensed social worker who has served individuals, couples, and families for over twenty years. Adriana focuses on helping you build resilience, strength, and coping skills to overcome everyday stressors. A graduate of Fordham University, Adriana's dedication to client-centered management and cultural humility spans over two decades, covering forensic social work, crisis management, and clinical therapeutic services. In addition to her role as a professor in social work, Adriana actively contributes to various organizations, including the Immigration Clinic, the Long Island Immigrant Student Advocates Association, and the Long Island Counselors' Annual Conference Committee. Currently pursuing her Doctor of Social Work degree at SUNY Buffalo, Adriana's research focuses on trauma-informed practices, cultural humility, and support services for emotionally hurt individuals. As the proud daughter of immigrants from El Salvador and Peru, Adriana's biculturalism is a powerful tool in her mission to uplift and empower individuals from all walks of life. Her academic and career trajectory reflects a profound commitment to championing the rights and dignity of the most vulnerable and marginalized populations, inspiring hope, and driving positive change in every community she touches.
